Today, April 29th, is the next to last day to register for the advanced registration price for the Austin Scholastic City Championship which will be held at Kealing Middle School on May 3rd, 2008. Sign up today at www.AustinChessTournaments.com to avoid paying the late registration fee. Remember that we also run a very competitive Open section for the adults that would like to play. This should be a great warm up for the State Championships that will be held over Memorial Day weekend. For any rated chess tournament, if you want to play without becoming a USCF member you can do so by registering as a Junior Tournament Player, essentially paying only for the tournament. Players who have NEVER had a USCF membership and are registering for K-3 (Primary or JV sections) may use the JTP program for any of our local tournaments. The St. Andrew's Chess Camp will be held from June 23-27th with the St. Andrew's Tournament being held right afterwards on Saturday, June 28th. This year we will be on the central campus near Mopac and 32nd street. Additional information about their summer programs can be found at SASAustin.

And last but not least is the JCAA Chess Camp being held at the Dell Jewish Community Center from August 18-22nd. To find registration information and to download a brochure for this camp go to JCAA.
